A total of 391 students from Assam arrived Guwahati today on 27/04/2020 who were stranded in Rajasthan’s Kota due to nationwide lockdown to curb the COVID-19 pandemic. Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma along with his state minister for health Pijush Hazarika received them at around 3 AM at Sarusajai and made necessary arrangements.
“After a long journey from Kota, 391 children are back with smiles and cheers. To ensure that they and their families remain safe, we are putting them into 14 days of quarantine,” the health minister tweeted.The boys have been kept at the Sarusajai quarantine facility and the girls in three nearby hotels.
